The two items are on variations of the revolutionary letterhead of the Prefect of the Drôme Department, with oval medallion illustration of a seated liberty with a phrygian cap on a stick, forearm leaning on the fasces and the words ‘Libérté’ and ‘Égalité’. The printed decree is in good condition, lightly aged, with slight foxing and discoloration. The secretarial letter is in fair condition, with darker patches of discoloration.

The author's signature is clear, but not entirely legible (it may read 'C Bourg'). 1p., 8vo. Sixteen lines of text. Very good, on lightly-aged paper. The letter concerns 'la seconde tournée de l'officier de Santé Vaccinateur', which will occur in the district on 28 June, with the following purpose: 'rectifier les vaccinations qui auraient mal pratiquées et vacciner tous les individus qui lui seront présentés.' He invites the mayor to supply 'Mr.

Nicely printed within a border on one side of a piece of 19 x 12 cm laid paper. In good condition, lightly-aged. Headed: 'THOMAS FRÈRES, | NGTS. A VALENCE, DÉPT. DE LA DROME. | REPRÉSENTÉS VOYAGEUR.' 22 'VINS ROUGES' (from 'Hermitage' to 'Bordeaux') and 13 'VINS BLANCS' (from 'Hermitage' to 'Muscat de Beziers') are listed, followed by six items from 'Eau-de-vie vieille du Languedoc' to 'Truffes noires'. Prices are only given (in pencil) for three items.
