With frontispiece ('LCC: Ossulston Street Area, Saint Pancras') and 35 plates ('Drawings'), including five fold-outs, two of which are coloured maps of parts of London (one begin 'Suggestion for Re-development of part of Chelsea'). Also included are two maps of the Brady Street Area of Bethnal Green. In fair condition, on aged paper, in worn and aged wraps. Stamps and label of the Board of Education Reference Library. Forrest explains the background as follows (p.3): 'in July last the Council decided that I should pay a visit to a number of the principal cities in the United States of America in order to report upon the construction and control off buildings in that country. Acting on this decision I left England on September 20th and, after spending about two months in the States, arrived back in London on November 26th. | During my stay I visited the cities of Washington, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Boston and Buffalo.'
