12mo, 2 pp. Good, on lightly-aged paper, with one dog-eared corner. Quoting Haden's views, which appear distinctly progressive. He finds the 'retention in a dwelling-house for as long as possible of a body, which ought to be committed to the earth as soon as possible', and the need for a 'strong coffin' great evils. 'A body properly buried, buried, that is to say, in such a way that the earth may have access to it [...] resolves it into new and harmless products; and then these new products, passing upwards again through the same sieve-like medium, re-enter the atmosphere and become the elements of its renewal, and of the nourishment and growth of plants'. Ends: 'The coffin to which Mr. Haden refers can be seen, and all information respecting funerals obtained, at the LONDON NECROPOLIS COMPANY'S OFFICES, 2, LANCASTER PLACE, STRAND, W.C.' COPAC lists only the BL copy.
