Bifoliate, in very good condition, addressed on reverse of second leaf to 'Mr. John Mounsey | Furrier | Sunderland'. Difficult handwriting. 'Dear Sir. | <?> the beginning of March I sent to Lowth, by Mr Sir Joseph Banks, to be forwarded to you at Sunderland, Two matts or packages of Rabbit skins, containing 2127 Skins. The remainder which had not then come in from the <?> I sent up afterwards by Mr Alexander to Newcastle, in one matt or parcell, containing 410 skins In all 2537 skins; which I hope have come safe to hand. | Please to remit the proceeds, when due, to my brother Mr. Samuel Laing, merchant, Edinh. or to the Burlesh Lennen Co. upon his account. I am Dear Sir, very truly yours | Malcolm Laing'. Business calculations in contemporary hand on recto of second leaf.
