One page, part of bifolium, 4to, faintly grubby and foxed, mainly good condition. "The high encomiums which have been publicly bestowed upon the successful accomplishment of my new untertaking, of producing Facsimiles [underlined] of a selection of the choicest water Colour drawings of the English School, renders it perfectly unnecessary for me to say anything respecting its merits; and when it is considered that these copies of such exquisite drawings are so perfect, as to be mistaken for teh originals, by some of the first Artists in the Country & that they can be obtained for less tha one twentieth part of the Cost, I flatter myself they will be appreciated by every admirer of the fine Arts, & that they will prove a source of scientific gratification for the morning or evening Visitant. - My Agent who will call on you, will have great pleasure in shewing you at the same tim, a beautiful Engraving from Mr. Hilton's celebrated picture of the Entry into Madrd, by the British Army, & likewise one from teh much admired Picture by Mr. Stephanoff of the visit from poor Relations &c." A postscript reveals that these works of his can be seen "at any Book or Printseller's".
