John Carter (1748-1817), English architect and draughtsman 54 of John Carter's original engravings, from his own drawings, for his 'Views of Ancient Buildings in England' (1786-1793). All 54 are printed on paper 12 x 9 cm. Each is captioned and numbered in roman numerals, with the first as III and the last as XCVII.
