7pp., 4to. Attached with a brass stud. The six pages of the catalogue are in fair condition, on aged paper, the title leaf is dusty and spotted. The manuscripts listed in this catalogue are primarily of a political and diplomatic nature. They do not appear to correspond with those in the 'Hinchingbrooke Collecton' listed by Cambridgeshire County Record Office on the National Archives website, an entry which gives a useful account of their origins (mainly the stables at Hinchingbrooke). The first entry in the present list is 'Rules & minutes of the Divan Club' (founded by the Earl of Sandwich and Francis Dashwood in 1744). The next entry is 'Private letters from Ministers & friends to the Earl of Sandwich during negotiations at Breda etc. 1747-1748.' Interesting items include: 'Secret memorial by Samuel Engel Esq. concerning certain discoveries & settlements North East of Asia & North West of America. 1773.', 'Collection of letters &c. that passed between Duke of Cumberland, Duke of Newcastle, & Earl of Sandwich and H.S.H. The Prince of Orange, Count Bentinck &c. 1748.', 'Letters & other papers from Arthur Villettes Esq. to the King of Sardinia, Lt. Gen. Wentworth & Lt. Gen. St. Clair, to the Earl of Sandwich. 1748.' and 'Collection of Private Letters from the Earl of Sandwich to the Duke of Cumberland, Duke of Chesterfield, Duke of Bedford, Henry Pelham Esq, the Lord Chancellor, & Lord Anson. 1747-48.'
