2pp., 4to. In good condition, lightly aged, with the two leaves pinned together. Referring to his wife Emilie, Harmsworth has written in red pencil at the head of the letter 'Em to see'. Physick begins by thanking Harmsworth and his wife for their 'most generous appreciation of our efforts'. 'As regards the cake, I feel that we owe much to Miss Harmsworth for her artistic design, and it gave us great pleasure to work to it: it is moreover a great encouragement to our staff to be able to show them how much their work is appreciated.' He thanks him for agreeing to allow the firm to use his letter as a testimonial: 'it will be of great value to us'. An autograph postscript, signed 'F. S. P.', explains the reason for the late response.
