None of the items in the following collection has been traced elsewhere, either at the Imperial War Museum, or on WorldCat or COPAC. The background to the collection is explained by one authority as follows : 'The School of Army Co-operation was originally established at Old Sarum in 1920, to provide training for air officers supporting troops on the ground. It became the School of Air Support in 1945 when its remit was broadened to cover assistance by air in amphibious operations. It was reformed again in May 1947, within No. 11 Group, as the School of Land/Air Warfare. In March 1963 it merged with the Amphibious Warfare School (formerly based at Poole) to form the Joint Warfare Establishment.' The collection, totalling 111pp., and with one black and white photograph present, is housed in an official folio binder, with cloth spine and paper covers, with the following printed on the front: 'S. 567 B. | T. 4365 - Wt. 7444 30,000 1/43 P. & Co. Ltd.' The contents are in good condition, on lightly aged and worn paper, but the binding is heavily worn. Most of the items carry the ownership inscription of 2nd Lieutenant J. S. Eason of the Royal Marines, and his notes in pencil and ink are present throughout, in addition to forms completed by him, and along with Item Eleven, a four-page autograph report by him on letterheads of HMS Attacker. A number of the items are marked 'Secret' or 'Restricted'. The following note at the end of Item One suggests that the collection comprises lecturer's notes: 'N.B. This may be too much for an hour's lecture, if so paras. 7 and 8 could be brought in to the following two lectures on proceedure. [sic]'. The thirty-five items are as follows.
