The two items are from the papers of royal photographer Marcus Adams (1875-1959), with whom Park shared premises (as well as facilities and staff) at 43 Dover Street, Mayfair. Each is in its own envelope, and the two are loosely inserted in a stylish brown patterned cloth 32 x 24 cm folder, with Park's stamp in gilt on cover and his bookplate inside the front cover. The negatives are in good condition, in aged envelopes and folder. ONE: 21 x 16 cm negative of portrait of King Edward in highland dress, bareheaded, with plumed hat under one arm, and the hand of the other arm on the hilt of a sword. A similar image, taken at the same sitting from a slightly different angle is known, and he National Portrait Gallery has a different image of the King in highland dress, dated to 26 June 1931. In brown paper envelope on which Park has written in pencil: 'H M the King | 056966'. TWO: 16 x 11.5 cm negative of Albert, Duke of York (the future King George VI). Facsimile signature of the Duke in bottom left-hand corner: 'Albert' (or right-hand corner if reversed!). In brown paper envelope on which Park has written in pencil: 'Negative for portrait H R H Duke of York'. A similar image, probably from the same sitting, is dated 1926.
