2pp, 4to. In fair condition, aged and creased. Folded once. Signed ‘Pen.’ She begins by stating that she thinks it was ‘nice’ of him ‘to write about the novel, & about Christopher - he is a ginger coloured, rather fierce baby but most rewarding to look after!’ She is ‘sorry about the novel’, and wonders whether his ‘reader could remember it enough to say whether the skeleton of it would possibly make a film scenario & have you any strings in that world (possibly your uncle?) where I could send it?’ Though ‘bits of it are all wrong’ it strikes her as ‘a living sort of tale’ and she would ‘like to get a sale for it somehow’.
