The Barn Theatre at Smallhythe Place, set up in Terry's home in her memory by her daughter Edy Craig in 1929, is now a National Trust property. 3pp., 4to. Bifolium. Aged and worn, on brittle paper, with slight loss to one corner. Heading the front page is an illustration of a banner and bouquet, with the words 'Barn Theatre | E T'. Beneath this is printed: 'TENTH ELLEN TERRY ANNIVERSARY | PERFORMANCE | Sunday, July 24th, 1938 | at | 5 p.m. | In Memory of | Dame ELLEN TERRY, G.B.E., LL.D. | Born at Coventry February 27, 1847 | Died at Smallhythe July 21, 1928'. The reverse of the first leaf carries details of the first half of the performance, a reading by Reginald Tate from Irving's 'Study of Macbeth', with long note explaining the background ('violent controversy' of 1888) and quotation from Ellen Terry's memoirs. The recto of the second leaf gives details of the second and third parts of the performance. Second is 'Scenes from As You Like It', with ten actors including Edith Evans as Rosalind and Michael Redgrave as Orlando. The third and final part is a 'Tribute to Ellen Terry by Harcourt Williams'. At foot of page: 'Performance under the direction of Edith Craig | Stage Manager . . . V. Holme | At the Virginals . John Ticehurst | Scenery by Clare Atwood | Electricians . Lucien Gow and C.
