2pp., 12mo. In good condition, lightly aged. Having been absent from London, he has not been able until recently to look over the copy of 'Specimens of Greek Anthology' which Macgregor sent him, but having now read some of the specimens, he cannot now 'refrain from expressing my obligation to you for the pleasure they afforded me'. He 'could not have supposed that the literal meaning of the Greek could have been rendered in so spirited a manner, and with so much appearance of ease'. Another work by Macgregor, 'Translations from the Greek Anthology', was published without date in London by Nissen and Parker in 1864.
