Begins: 'Mr. Caddy the Bearer of this letter is a Candidate for the vacant Coronership in the Northern district of our County by the very melancholy Death of Mr Kingdom - | Mr Caddy has applied to me for his Character, who I have known for a great many Years'. Caddy, 'a very deserving man with many Children', has attended Rolle's family 'when at Haverstone', and has 'always conducted himeslf in a most exeplary and satisfactory manner', both Rolle and his wife having 'benefited by his medical advice'.
