ONE: Letter. 1p., 12mo. In fair condition, lightly aged and worn, with pin holes at top inner corner, and slight damp staining along one edge, affecting a few words of text. Addressed to 'The Editor of "Men & Women of the Time" | Broadway House | Ludgate Hill. E.C.' Reads: 'In compliance with your invitation I send you a few emendations for the Notice of me in "Men & Women of the Time" - and shall be glad to correct the proof when set up in type.' Headed with a two-line textual correction to his entry, followed by a seven-line note regarding layout, beginning 'I should assume that if you are going to make your articles longer, you would divide them into paragraphs'. At the foot he gives two alternatives for his 'permanent address'.
